Welcome!  You have taken a crucial step in your birth journey by looking for a labor doula.  I have been helping birthing women from Atlanta and ITP neighborhoods since 2003.

“You are what you eat” is never more true than when you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Now your baby is what you eat, too! Few women get sound nutritional counseling from their care providers. I had the fortunate experience of a midwife who put great emphasis on what I was eating… lots of lean protein, fruits, and vegetables. I took quality pre-natal vitamins and alfalfa tablets.  Consider what your are feeding your baby. Make good choices for the health of both of you!

I am working on starting a doula group in Atlanta, GA, based in Decatur. My hope is to gather women working in childbirth for mutual support and to be of better service to improving the birth experiences of women in Atlanta, particularly in hospital birth.
